Sink My Ship
November 18, 2009 04:31 AM PST
A original jazz type tune. A person was talking about someone sinking his ship. The talk box babble is the conversation. I used the viola bass and the Ibanez Johnny Smith for the background hits. The Parker night fly SA was use for the babble all through the Roland gt-6. Beta Monkey jazz loops were used for the drums setup in a random sequence. Enjoy the babble

Here is a original tribute instrumental to the Minneapolis band Crow. I borrowed a couple lines from Cottage Cheese which is one of my all time favorite rock tunes, that tune influenced me the most as a young rock bass player and should be on the school of rock to learn list for all bass players. On this tune there was some heavy duty processing of the guitar. I use the Parker Night Fly SA in the stereo mode, one channel going through a pedal board to the Peavy Delta Blues and the other going through the Roland GT-6 to the Galaxy 25 amp using a Heavy Metal distortion patch. The bass is the Sterling, recorded DI. The sprinkler I'm not sure of the brand name, but it wasn't cycling right, and gave the most technical difficulty. Enjoy my copyrighted original songs that I offer as free downloads. Thanks,

I play all kinds of music and one of the bands I had the most fun with was "The Hometown Express". We were the perfect wedding band, playing traditional polka's & waltz's to 60"s rock and everything in between. Steve Feyereisen with his accordian lead the very popular "Valley Boys" a top band in the region before The Home Town Express.

Meet my old and some newer friends. These are the tools I use for my recordings. They are beautiful, aren't they? The tune Old Friend is re-recorded from a tune I wrote long ago. The concept for the song was from a reunion with drummer friend Ron that played in The Division with me and Paul,Dave,Connie (manager Gayle). It seemed fitting now that old friends could also be my old guitars, bass's,mandoline.
September 13, 2009 04:46 AM PDT
A different instrumental using some recent and old technology. I used my Peavy Delta Blues amplifier and recently acquired effects pedal board with the Parker Night Fly guitar which is configured like a Stratocaster plus but with allot more options. Enjoy for your personal use and thanks for listening.

This the first song Mike and I recorded in Arizona, turned out great . Enjoy Lance Big Muffy for my DJ friends
August 07, 2009 06:38 AM PDT
This is a departure from my old, old, old, school of thought about mixing and I have extended the low end, increased the drums, played some old style riffs with some jazz type chords, used a Big Muff old style distortion through finely tweaked Gibson Galaxy tube amp, Played my custom built/wired Telecaster, the one in the picture, used a Johnny Smith Ibanez for the mellow jazz guitar part. Used Beatcraft software to build the drum parts and spent more time than I usually do on the mix. Dj's this ones for you and of coarse for anyone who would like to download it and have on there play list. Have a Great Day! thanks for listening. Lance Olson Lawn Boy

Pike had over 13 good years on earth,he was a Chocolate Lab and won several awards as a champion hunting dog. He was more than a hunting dog, he was part of the family, lived in the house and slept with Mom and Dad. Pike was best friends to my 4 year old granddaughter Ella and she misses him so much,we do too.. The picture is from a fathers day card from my daughter and I thought it added a lighter touch to one of my heavier songs. This song's for you Pike! Thanks for listening,

I couldn't find any photo's of Club Midway in Independence Wisconsin,a place that was the hangout and a place we gigged at on Wed. and Sat. nights years ago. The picture looks 50's but the setting is right and we are missing a mirror ball.

Thanks for listening and expect more drum patterns produced with Beatcraft software.
May 26, 2009 06:20 AM PDT
I recorded this many years ago. It's a take on a old classical standard done my way. The Guild 12 string guitar was used for the melody and a Djembe drum for the percussion accent. Thanks for listening and check back, I'm continuing to create new and post old material. Lance Standing on a Rock Change of Heart Band Madison WI.

May 23, 2009 03:07 PM PDT
The first band I was in (Division) played the Janis Joplin version of Summertime and when I put my midi solo act together in the early 90's I added my version to the song list. The background was created with a Roland R5 Human Rhythm composer and a mmt-8 Alesis sequencer with a GR-50 guitar synth. I used a 2 data disc's to store and load files. The picture is me at the Hudson House in Hudson Wisconsin sometime in the 90's. I had a regular twice a month gig there.

A original short story about a guy who was making one of those hard life decisions and wondered if he had made the right one. I used the Silvertone 1481 amp and Telecaster for the background guitar. The Parker Nightfly and Peavey Delta Blues amp was used for the lead guitar. The sterling bass was used through a tube pre-amp. The background beat was done using a Sony Acid loop program. Thanks for listening and enjoy. Lance Faith

Faith, cool jazz type instrumental
February 13, 2009 05:53 AM PST
This improvisational instrumental is a free spirited piece of music I created to remind me that music is about creativity and not about copying someone else. If one has the skill set to improvise and express in music than it's a waist of talent not to be doing it. Thanks for listening,
