I used my Breedlove nylon strin with Savereze strings. The arrangement is like the Beatles and I used my Viola bass for even more Beatle like sound  This is for my grandma Julia (in the picture) who passed before I was born. Julia had a music degree and taught piano and was the church organist. Pretty lady...Lance Olson

Take 5 jam is a instrumental i have played for many years. The lead is done with a parker night Fly. The 6/8 time loop is created with the Roland R-880 drum machine. The Night hawk was used for the rythum with phase shifter.. Thanks, Lance Olson

Testing my recently purchased Nightawk guitar... The amp used is a 1974 Fender Vibrolux Reverb.

Here is a version of Brown Sugar recorded live by Libertine Rock sometime in the late 70's... I am playing a Fender Jazz bass through Peavey 600 watt amp with a dual 15" speaker bottom with black widow speakers.
This was recorded live at El Tejon just off from State street down town Madison Wisconsin...fun times....
This was recorded with a Tascam 8 track and my copy was on cassette.I am lucky to still have a copy...

This is the 1st song on my CD "Acoustic Salsa" and I will be posting all the original instrumentals from my all original CD. Pretty much the whole CD was created using Band in a Box software, tweaking the program and adding guitar tracks for melody and texture.

The muted guitar in this tune is the 1979 Ibanez 400 CP model jazz guitar played through a Peavey MNX 1-10 bass amplifier,using a Roland GT-6 multi effects processor. The amplifier is miked using a Sure sm-57. The wah wah guitar is run through my pedal board, through a Dunlap Cry Baby, Roland eq, through a Big Muff and the final stage through a Electro-harmonix Memory Man. Tha amplifier is a Sears Silvertone 1481. The Bass used is a Music Man Sterling Played through the Roland R-880 drum machine rock bass patch. A track of shakers were added to the tune, miked with the Sure sm-57. Uncle Fester is a character from the old tv seies "The Adams Family". Enjoy this unusual tune that is jazz, rock, new age, latin, funk.....Lance

I used my trusty Rocco Strat for the lead and the blue flower telecaster for the backing track. All the guitars were processed through the Roland R-880 drum machine. The 880 has all the gt-6 guitar effects which makes it a cool machine. The bass was also generated form the r-880. enjoy, Lance Olson

This blues jam was recorded for my new solo show I'm putting together. The guitar used for the lead is a custom Blue flower telecaster with a Duncan Broadcaster pickup in the lead position and 6.5k ohm hand wired pickup in the neck. I used a Roland gt-6 multi effects processor DI  and the Roland R-880 for the drums. The bass was added with Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling. Love the blues, enjoy. Lance

This experimental tune was done with my Ibanez 1979 400CP guitar using a different amplifier setup, can't tell you. Its a secret ....Lance

Pictured is my newly acquired Gretsch 5129 guitar. I'm using the guitar in a traditional way for this experimental instrumental. You may have heard these same sound in James Bond films and old westerns,Quentin Tarantino movies I'm using the Peavey Delta Blues vibrato for effect. The end part of this tune I'm using the Ibanez 400CP Guitar. The new Gretsch is a welcome and usefull addition to my stable of guitar tools.

This is my first original instrumental using the new Stratocaster with the killerguitarcomponents.com brass tremola block. I used a Roland GT-6 with one output going DI in and the other recorded with a Gibson Galaxy 25 amp with a sm-57 mic. The bass was done with the Musicman Sterling through a SWR tube preamp. The drum parts were done with the Beatcraft program.

40+ Years ago Paul Solberg, Lance Olson, Ron Swenson and Michael Berg
Formed the band, which later became The Division.
Paul and I recently reunited on Face book and began putting some new music together. Even though we hadn’t played together since the days of playing the beer bar gin joints of Wisconsin, we connected instantly. Both of us remained active in music since the early days, Paul more than myself and obtained a degree in music. We were band mates and friends 40 years ago; playing with Paul again is like picking up where we left off. We are working on a new CD one tune at a time.
Written mostly by Paul, Balance of Emotion was created by us 2 older rockers from the 60’s who have reunited to apply there musical experience and new technologies to create a different exciting new music.

Pike had over 13 good years on earth,he was a Chocolate Lab and won several awards as a champion hunting dog. He was more than a hunting dog, he was part of the family, lived in the house and slept with Mom and Dad. Pike was best friends to my 4 year old granddaughter Ella and she misses him so much,we do too.. I wrote this song about my friend Ray Cooper who passed away this past year of cancer.

I added my original music to this cool video of an extroadinary plane. The music is sort of Venturers/new age.

A short rock version of the Star Spangled Banner. The picture isnt a 1st lady from the 60's, it's my wife Sally at the Air Museum in Tuscon AZ.

Mike and I wrote this instrument when we lived in Phoenix Arizona. Mike and I were both technicians and worked together at the AFRL in Mesa. Mike did all the keyboards and myself the guitar work. We only recorded 2 songs but plan on getting together in the future for more recording.

This tune was recorded for a soundtrack on a photostory. Our friends (Kathy & Scot) were married at the wolf Preserve in Ely Mn., a few years ago, this tune celebrates that occassion. I used Sony Acid and real wolf sample howls. enjoy...
